Chinese government cracks down on hugging
A new threat has been spreading across China recently. Representatives from ‘The Hug League’ have been active on the streets of Beijing, Changsha, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Shanghai and Xi’an spreading their dangerous message.
The shadowy group, which may or may not have links to organised crime, has been on the streets offering free hugs to any passer-by who wants one. The supposed idea is to break down barriers between people that exist in fast-paced urban life. It could also have something to do with drugs, aliens, terrorism or global warming. Be scared.
Luckily, the government has reacted quickly to this new menace. In Beijing, four huggers were taken in for questioning. It only took authorities 20 minutes in Shanghai before 11 of the huggers were taken to the Public Security Bureau. Police have promised to continue cracking down on rogue huggers and if hugging escalates there is some speculation that China may launch a ‘War on Hugging’ (WoH). But don’t worry people. Your government will protect you.

The huggers have even got their own website with instructions on how to give a hug: http://www.free-hugs.com/
If it was free shags, the government would only be concerned that it couldn’t tax it.
